Hi,
Once again from 10, 11, and 12 - since Ableton changed his graphics to vector, I have laggy GUI, to the point I need always to turn off HI-DPI mode
Live 9 - worked flawlessly.
Are there any tips to improve this?
Or better hardware GUI acceleration? (Direct 2D support)
Or should buy mac
Live 12, Windows Lagging GUI
Re: Live 12, Windows Lagging GUI
I'm experiencing bad GUI lag too. I've had no issue with lagging GUI in Live 10 or 11, but I just performed with Live 12 last night and the animations were lagging very badly, some of which I rely on for critical timing for triggering clips, etc. I'm trying to figure out if there is anything I can do to make this better, or if this is due to graphics card performance and will require a hardware upgrade?

Re: Live 12, Windows Lagging GUI
I've tested over 10 configurations when using from Ableton 10-12.
The problem is - on Mac there is hardware acceleration - metal.
But on Windows nothing, and this makes unresponsive at bigger sessions :/
just letting you know guys

Re: Live 12, Windows Lagging GUI
In Windows 10, go to Graphics Settings. Add Live 12 to the list. Set it to High Performance. See if that helps! I’ve done this since Live 11 and it solved 99% of the GUI lag. This may also work in Windows 11 but I have not tried it. Cheers!
