Please bear in mind that posts on Twitter (or indeed any social media platform) should not be taken as absolute proof that it's coming (many companies have made statements via social media and then either blatantly back-tracked or conveniently forgotten about it).

However, it's hard not to see it as a good sign!

I was fed up as well for not having a PDF version of L12 Manual.
I started to convert the online version with high res picts.

Chapter 4 added.
But I realised afterwards that "Chapter 4 Managing Files and Sets" for Live 12" is simply the Chapter 5 of Live 11.. What a shame..

it happens, thank you so much, also it looks quite good, almost like a real Ableton Live Manual.
Which program did you use?
i doubt Ableton uses soemthing like LaTeX to create their Manual, its probably to much work with all the pictures and stuff.

Ableton is indeed aware of this, knows that it's a problem for users and is working on it.
Sorry I can't provide more info about atm.

Any update on this please ? (Coming up to 4 weeks) Can you say anything as to whether Ableton will be releasing this any time soon or should we rely on community efforts if Ableton are unable to produce a written manual? Thanks a lot.

Thanks - it’s pretty pathetic of Ableton not to post here or reply regarding the manual. I cant see any twitter post saying they are working on it or that it is coming.

I guess we have to rely on users to produce a printed manual as they seem to be unable or unwilling to issue one.

Anyone know if Bitwig has a printed or pdf manual ? After many years of Ableton I am seriously considering switching to Bitwig due to this issue - it just shows a complete lack of regard and contempt of their users. Going to do some research about Bitwig now....

EDIT - just checked - Bitwig has an online *as well* as a pdf manual !!! Fantastic. Downloading a trial version now...
It’s pretty sad that if you want to read a manual for a DAW you have to drop Ableton.... not impressed !
