looping bug in session clips

actually, it's almost a double bug. to reproduce it:
set the arrangement loop on, make it 2 bars long.
in session, create a 1 bar long midi clip with some notes in it.
while the clip is playing, set the loop start point to something like 1 1 4.
if you move the loop start point (or the whole loop bar) towards the beginning of the clip while the global loop crosses the loop-point, the clip will either stop, or it will behave strangely: the position marker will shift (the one running on the midi data in the clip), and will play notes while there are none, and inversely.
most of the time, the clip stops though.

Hmmm. There have been reports of audio loops behaving in the same way... Even changing tempos for a litlle while...

Strange.

yeah, i managed to do the same with an audio clip.
i played with the loop position, and the clip stoped.
it seems to be linked with the clip end marker's position, when the playback cursor goes after it.

does the disk overload light go on as well? Even when the clip's loaded in ram? It does that here at times 8O

Hi peeddrroo,

this one should be fixed within the latest beta Live 5.0.2b6: http://www.ableton.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=26978
Could you give it a try?

regards,
Alex

so far so good.
it seems that playing too hard with the clip loop length doesn't stop clips anymore.
that's good news!
