Launchkey MK2 faders aren't mapped to track volumes

My Launchkey 49 MK2 was working fine with Ableton Live (Mac, Sonoma 14.4) until I decided to reset it, hoping that it would fix my mod wheel that doesn't go to 0. It didn't fix that, and to make matters worse, the track faders on the Launchkey are no longer mapped to track volumes by Live. I'm using Live 12 but the same problem exists in 11 as well. The faders come across as controller data, so I can map them manually, but Live used to do that automatically. All the other buttons on the keyboard work correctly with Live. My MIDI setup is correct as far as I know. Both input ports have track and remote enabled and the InControl output port has track, sync and remote enabled. Anyone ever seen something like this before? Any ideas how to get the faders working properly again?

You need to select it as a control surface in the top half of the preferences window, it has nothing to do with MIDI Mapping.

It is selected as a control surface. That's why the other buttons on the keyboard are mapped by Ableton automatically. I just don't know why the track faders are no longer mapped. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the way the Launchkey is represented in Mac's MIDI Studio. I think that's where Live gets its controller info from.

With Novation's help, I was able to resolve the problem. The key to diagnosing it was that in the Link, Tempo & MIDI settings, the input and output ports for the keyboard show as "Novation MK2 --". It wasn't reporting how many keys it has (49). I followed the steps in this article to resolve the issue: https://support.novationmusic.com/hc/en ... nt-of-keys
