Is there a way to freeze a MIDI track with no audio output?

A noobie needs some help.

I have a CK61 (love it!) and would like to turn a specific preset clip (ie. CK61 preset sound) into a WAV file so that I can use it as accompaniment by storing the file to a USB key and triggering it while playing live on the CK61.

Using Live 11, I'd like to record a MIDI track and edit it in MIDI (easier to add and delete notes, etc.) and then save it as an audio track for export to the USB key, using freeze, flatten, export.

How can I do this? The CK61 MIDI track has no audio instrument connected so when I try to freeze, I get "The track 'MIDI' has no audio output to freeze". This makes sense because I have the track MIDI In and MIDI Out connected to the CK61. I've tried to resample but again there's no audio to sample so that doesn't work.

How do I do this? What am I missing?

Figured it out.

Added a Audio Track. Audio from Ext. In. Audio to Master. Played the MIDI clip while recording on the Audio track. Freeze and flatten now works on the Audio track.
