click noise // CPU overload

Post by v0id_scuy » Thu Mar 28, 2024 7:58 am

IThe click noise is terrible.
I just changed from ver11 to ver12.
Same audio interface, sample rate, sample buffer as ver11.
Click noise never occurred when using ver11.

so I don't know the necessary settings.
Is there a new setting in ver12 that eliminates click noise?

current cpu meter suddenly exceeds 500%.
It's not stable enough to be of any use.

I'm windows user.

Could you share your system specifications and your Ableton audio settings like buffer size?

Hi all,
I am having the same issues.
as soon as I am playing some notes, the CPU goes higher, and starting around 20% the click noises occur.
It is a brand new laptop, that has hardly any other software and is, when working in Ableton, not connected to internet.
(windows11, i7, 13th generation, 2,4 GHz, 16 RAM, 64bit)

I tried changing buffer size, but that does not change anything.

My old version (ableton 7) and my old laptop (ancient piece) did not have this...

What can I do or try to solve this?

Many thanks for some help!!!
Olmo
