Morphing transitions for Macro Variations

Post by otalgia99 » Tue Apr 02, 2024 2:27 pm

Wouldn't it be nice if MACRO VARIATIONS could have morphing transitions?

That way, when switching to a different variation, the change wouldn't have to be so abrupt.

I've seen something similar in certain modeled synth packages that allow you to set up a number of different patches and then choose between them. With those you can even adjust the transition speed from pretty quick to rather gradual.

I suppose that Max devices and packs would play the wildcard here, since their elements might not conform, but .... well ... a creator can still dream, can't they?

There's a few M4L devices that do that, have a look at maxforlive.com

If you're using a Push 2 or 3 then this is a feature of our OctoPush template at IsotonikStudios.com

Otherwise Dillon Bastan's Markov Variations offers some functionality in a MaxforLive device, also available in the store....

Cheers
