I would like to upgrade my OS (10.15.17 Catalina) so that I can install Live 12.
I know it will probably mean some 3rd party VSTs will not function on a later operating system.
What is the best way to minimise the amount of VSTs that will no longer work, other than manually going through my entire list, and manually checking which ones will not survive an update to OS?
I know Live runs on Big Sur (OSX 11) which would be the least large upgrade required, so that would theoretically minimise issues. Any other ideas on how to minimise broken VSTs when upgrading?

Does anyone have some tips on how to best navigate such an update with minimal heartbreak?

Make sure you're relatively up-to-date with your plugins, check if the plugin versions you're using are compatible with the macOS version you want to move to
Mac Studio M2 Max and MacBook Pro M1
Genelec M030; Live 11.3.x and Live 12; macOS Sonoma
UAD Apollo Twin
Ableton Push 2
