Turn off inputs to reduce latency in standalone

When using live on the computer it is possible to drastically reduce latency by turning off the audio inputs of the sound card.
However I have not found a way to do this in Standalone.
Is it not possible? Maybe it can be done via a hidden feature or something? Does anyone know anything about this?
