Here what I see (latest version of Live):
1) Pitch Env prevents the sample to play until the end.
You add a long sample into Simpler. Then you set it as 1-shot, gate on.
Play the sample (hold the key down) it plays till the end.
Now enable Pitch Env, set it to +12 st.
Play the sample it will not play till the end and stop mid-way.
I'm using Push 2.
Is the above a bug?

2) cannot assign the sample start to a Macro. Wasn't possible in Simpler?

3) if you set PB range to any other value (ex+12) and you drag and drop a new sample, PB goes back to the default value.

1) You need to adjust the ADSR settings for the Pitch Envelope.
2) No.
3) Unfortunately, some controls revert to their default values when you drop a new sample.
