Hi,
I removed all VST2 versions of plugins which have VST3 versions installed so I only have one type of plugin per plugin installed.
However, opening an existing project, which was using the VST2 equivalents of the plugins, Ableton cannot find the existing VST2 plugins now.
Is there a way to tell Ableton that it should use the VST3 equivalent instead for the missing VST2 plugins (like a re-route/swap or 'find missing thing')? And if so, how?
Using Ableton v10.1.43
Thanks in advance!
How to switch used VST2 plugins to VST3 equivalents in open project?

Unfortunately this is not possible, you have to do this manually - what I've have done is to open an existing product, duplicate the track with the VST2, save the VST2 preset, replace the VST2 with the VST3 equivalent, open the just saved preset, make sure the track sounds similar and then delete the VST2 track...

Ah okay. I was afraid of that. Well, in that case I guess I have to just finish this project on my older machine where everything still is installed and start new projects on the newer machine with the new config.
Thanks for your response
