Using Headphone out in Ableton Push 3

Hi folks,

Apologies for extremely n00b question, possibly has a solution with a few config changes, but just couldn't figure it out after reading the manuals and searching the whole internet for it.

I just got a Push 3 controller (Not a standalone one) and connected to my Ableton live and followed the Get started. I can get sound from my laptop speakers without any issue. When I connect my headphones to my computer and change output device to be external headphones that also works.

When I connect my headphones to the headphones out of Push 3 and change audio output in Ableton live to "Ableton Push 3 Audio (16 in, 16 out)" I just can't get any sound. The test doesn't work, anything I play doesn't work. Does anyone have any idea what I might be missing?

To rule out any issue with the 6.5mm converters I tried 3 of them on Roland drum kit I have and they work just fine.

I would appreciate the help!

Thanks

Do you know that the volume control on Push 3 got more than 1 volume function ? Just press it for more functions.

Yes, I know. I set the main and headphones to 6 db, yet still no sound.

I'm curious to hear if you found the answer/solution?

I'm currently considering getting a Push 3, but my suspicion is that most of the I/Os on the back only work if you have the standalone version/kit. Could this also be the case for the headphone jask?

If so, I think that's a little sad, since it would be very nice to only require the USB-C to the laptop and have other things connecter to the Push 3, but I don't know /:

No idea what was the OP's issue, but the audio interface is also part of the Controller version. It's actually a controller with builtin audio and midi interface.

Awesome - I somewhat figured this out since posting my comment, but thank you for the clarification! That also partly explains the hefty price  Fingers crossed we get a Black friday/month/whatever discount deal!
