Enable Follow Actions Globally on Push 3s?

Does the Enable Follow Actions Globally function exist on Push 3s?

This has been discussed previously for Push 2, but I don't see anything about this feature in the manual or discussions for Push 3 ...

Kind of important (to me, at least) for exactly the use case of Push 3 ... controlling looping of clips on the fly. My sets are constructed to "flow on their own" (by Scene Follow Actions), but I often mix-and-match clips and / or re-play scenes, and I'm getting into a wrestling matches with the Scene Follow Actions ...

There is no control of follow actions from P3S.

Right. Thanks.

Was thinking an M4L might be available, but then I've seen the dire warnings of crashes with M4L devices on P3S.

Really ?
As much as I think that Push3 is half-baked, I had no bad surprises with M4L despite not being able to use some objects.

My experience using M4L devices in the Push 3 has been good, and in general when something has failed it has been due to my programming errors. A rumor has spread that the Push 3 is not capable of consistently running M4L devices and in my case that is not the case at all.

I think the people at Isotonik Studios had something related to follow actions in clips. look on their website. They have very interesting things.

A rumor? So you believe people are dishonest when they talk about their experience with Max for Live devices crashing on Push?

It's important to note that many Max for Live devices do not work on Push because some capabilities have been removed from Max.
The devices that can run on Push 3 can sometimes cause crashes. Just as they do in Live.

Not at all! I’m just saying that some people are saying that “using M4L in Push 3 is not possible because they crash all the time” and this is not my experience. Not saying this is not even true for them. People are saying that “developing M4L devices for Push 3 is worthless, because they will crash”. Not my case. Just saying this is not my experience AT ALL.

I’m also not saying the Push 3 is perfect at this point, but I think it’s good to hear all the people opinions, and I think this is good.

My concern about M4L was based on this well-read post:

2. **Stability Issues**: ... The idea of running custom Max patches is also far from reality due to frequent crashes.
However, I did not track down the basis for Pandamonia's comment ...

Not had any issues whatsoever with crashes on Push and MaxforLive and I've been using it extensively since the first beta...

If a device is incompatible for the already published reasons it just doesn't work.

Follow Actions are not available via the API so as yet it's not possible to control them via Push or MIDI.

AlexDLarge is correct though we have one of our most popular products Follow XL that allows you to create and control follow actions directly from the Push 3 & Push 3 Standalone.
