Im hoping someone can explain the intent of the loop button in the midi editor - in arrange view. It seems to me that the one thing it doesnt do is loop. If loop isnt enabled in the arrange view and loop is set in the editor - the 2 bar ( for example) midi clip I have in the editor doesnt loop. i.e the arrange view looping button is the master here. Cant find anything in the manual on this
Thanks

Yeah, I see what you mean. For a midi clip, say I set it to loop half the clip, it may seem to ignore the clip loop button when in arrangement. But it does loop the same clip correctly in session view.

The Loop button in the Clip editor is a clip property unrelated to the Arrangement loop.
When you enable clip loop, the part of the clip that is between the clip's loop brackets loops in session view.
In the arrangement view, you can make it loop by extending the clip (drag the clip header to the right). This way, you can repeat a (part of the) clip without duplicating it. So, in the arrangement view, it's more of a repeat than a loop since it only loops the clip a finite number of times.
