Push 2 capabilities vs Push 3

I used to own the 2, and was eyeing the 3, but realistically i want to use the push to do Elektron style pwr step parameter locks. If anyone doesn't know what i mean, using the push to create sequences then pressing and holding down notes to change parameters per step, i remember even just simple sequences with wavetable and this method can get you incredible results. Doing it by mouse in automation mode is a pain. Are there more parameters available or this type of flexibility in the new push 3 compared to the 2? I recently saw a very cheap 2 for sale near me that has me tempted.

Nope, you get access to the same parameters.

Functionality wise they are the same. Regarding ability to control Ableton.
Main difference is Push 3 has more advanced MPE where 2 is just Poly aftertouch. Push 3 also has Standalone option. Other than that there might be some more knobs and slightly different button layouts.

Aren't the midi editing capabilities better on the Push 3? I remember seeing a video a while back and I even made a comment about it when I saw the improved midi editing workflow.

True, that's thanks to the jogwheel.
