Push 3 + closed Macbook

I just got a Push 3, I'd like to use it with my laptop (mM1 Macbook pro) closed. Ideally, I could set this up in the most idiot proof way possible, so that the system doesn't sleep when Live is running and the lid is closed, but does go back to sleep if I quit Live and close the lid. I downloaded the app Amphetamine, but I don't think I have it set-up properly to do what I'm trying to do. Any help is appreciated!

I got amphetamine to work….. but less about my misspent youth. Let’s help you with your problem.
Once you start a session. If you click the amphetamine icon in the taskbar, there is a checkbox called “Allow system to sleep when display is closed”. You need to uncheck this. There will be a warning about installing Power Protect. I just clicked “Remind me later” and all is good. Though I never run amphetamine indefinitely I just set the session for an hour (usually the most time I get to produce anyways).
This should allow the MacBook to keep running while the lid is closed and the Push is connected.

Strange, I have that option unchecked and it still doesn't work as intended. I get Live up and running, connect Push and as soon as I close the lid, nada. Thanks for chiming in hope I can figure this out.

I think for now I found a good solution, just putting the display to sleep with the terminal command pmset displaysleepnow, and almost fully closing the laptop.
