I was wondering when we can expect a updater above 2.o1 to fix allot of the known bugs/issues?

*bump*
This product is starting to grate my nerves. I bought a copy of it, paid for an upgrade, and wish I hadn't paid for the upgrade.
I'm usually pretty calm about stuff, and tell other people to chill, especially on some of the enhancements, but I'm raging these days when I try and use 2.0.1. It's really intuitive to have to use some external program to find the tempo of stuff I've recorded or from my sample library, then type it into Live to get it to loop right.
I can't even understand how you folks weren't even embarrassed at NAMM. We'll probably see a bugfix before MusikMesse so you aren't dissed on your own turf.
Post your bug tracking info, give us a target date, something.
Because frankly, there's only four words that describe 2.0.1:
Fiscal Year End Bullshit.

I don't understand Ableton 's politic about the upgrade (2.01).I just wanted tap tempo and i had paid to have it and it don't work properly ( so it don't work).Another bug i notice to Ableton and give a lot of information about that (I've send my song to Ableton staff and NO ANSWER).
2 month with this upgrade and no ONE bug fix !!!!!!!!
I'm very desapointed of that.
Other software give us more quick an update to fix MAJOR BUG.
User we have to react about the promess feature that we paid and that it don't work.
For ABLETON :
Now it's time to give us a date about the Major Bug.
That U can see i'm not very happy

I'm sure they are. Something would seriously be wrong if they weren't. You could maybe excuse missing features (Altivec etc etc etc) if their existing product functioned well, or was updated regularly. The combination of the two is... disturbing.

I'm sure that Ableton realizes that the next time they ask us to ante up, that they better have it together first. Paying for the upgrade insures that they can hire the world-class audio programmers to improve the software. This is a cutting edge technology, and it is going to stutter a bit until it reaches version 3.
The only thing that pisses me off is the $30.00 "ReMix", a scaled-down version of Live. Why should I pay ten times the price for a buggy mess when the company is giving it away under another label?

Look, I support Ableton, and I love this software, but next time you invite me to a party, don't stand me up.

Folks,
I fully understand your frustrations. Not only have you been waiting for a fix to your problems, you also haven't heared back from us. Let me say two things that may serve you better than warm words:
1.) There will be a bugfix update within the next days, hopefully this weekend.
2.) We have been working very hard on the fixes. You might not be aware this is a very small organisation: less than ten developers do everything from communcating with users to coding. At times, they don't respond because they want to get that damn bug fixed. At other times, they have the flu. I can say one thing for sure, however: they put an incredible, at times scary amount of commitment into this-- even though it is sometimes not visible to the outside.
This being said, judge by what you are getting, as indeed you have paid money for it. We are sorry might we not live up to your expectations.

Hi Novacosmic,
I just want to say that Remix is a downscaled version of Live 1.5.2 with a lot of limitations compared to the Live 1.5.2 full version.
The following features are not contained in Remix:
- ReWire master and slave;
- MIDI in and out;
- Sync in and out;
- Audio input and recording;
- An unlimited number of tracks (Remix has only 8);
- Up to four sends (Remix has only 1);
- An unlimited number of scenes (Remix has only 16);
- Multi-channel audio input / output (Remix has only one stereo out);
- Erosion, FilterDelay, Grain Delay, Ping Pong Delay, Vinyl Distortion, Reverb;
- Unlimited VST support. (Remix can just handle one VST at the same time)
regards,
Alex
Thanks for the reply

I think most of us realise that Ableton is a small fairly new company, and that it may take some time to straighten things out. If we all could be a little more patient, I think it will be worth the wait as Ableton is a unique program that has helped many people to completely change the way they work for the better.
As long as Ableton keeps fixing the known bugs things can only get better for all of us.
