Automation on some devices is "overridden" on project load

have you ever encountered a situation where automation in the arrangement is "overridden" by (nonexisting) automation in the session view upon document load? it only happens on some plugins (massive and sylenth1, for example), but not on others. when i load the track, these automations will be greyed out and inactive in the arrangement view. if i click the (now red) "re-enable automation" button, they will be activated. the same happens if i start or stop playback of a scene in session view (which is completely empty!)

this is not something that happens because of a phantom midi message from faulty hardware; it's only on project load. i do not have max4live, so it's not that either.

i am using live 10 standard.

I was about to say: "M4L, or some NI plugins".
So I guess the answer is in your post
It's a "common" bug with NI plugins unfortunately (I don't know about Sylenth), so first make sure these are up-to-date. Also make sure to report to NI if updating the plugin(s) doesn't help as this bug has always been on their end.

Do you know what causes it? I mean, what mechanism specifically?
