- Live Intro v 11.3.25
- windows 10 - all updates
- Line 6 Helix Stomp XL audio interface using ASIO driver
- Behringer FCB 1010 controller with EurekaEprom updated firmware
- Since the 1010 is not a supported controller I am using the "Mackie Control" control surface profile as I read that can work.

1. I am using my controller to successfully play/stop Ableton and *kind of* updating tap tempo by pressing button 1 on the controller to match the bpm i need. The issue is the way that Ableton is interpreting the message from the controller. Ableton only registers every other press.
i believe this is because the cc22 message is sent when the button is released.

NOTE: the same midi controller provides normal tap tempo behavior when I use the same button using the Reaper DAW tap tempo - so the connection is working it just seems to be that Ableton is not intepreting the message the same way that Reaper does.

I've read the ableton 11 manual on midi, looked all over this forum, google, etc.

You don't have to use a control surface profile with your FCB1010, only the Remote setting for the MIDI IN port needs to be selected in Ableton.

Good to know that this is not the issue with the way Ableton processes the cc message. I *think* the issue is related to the message being interpreted by Ableton as either 'momentary' or 'latching'.

My plan B is to re-program by midi controller to send midi NOTE data rather than CC messages so its only note on/off.

When I use my keyboard drumpad as a tap tempo trigger it works well in Ableton to control the the tempo speed. I would prefer to stick with cc messages but if that is a dead end please advise.
