So solved the Ableton Move mystery the other day and i'm super excited for this! Ask me questions....

How did you "solved" it then?

I'm pretty good at these things, let's talk about it!

Can you name a company that got in huge trouble a couple years ago and was taken over by another controller company? They discontinued most of their products except for 3 which are very popular, and now we know why they did that. I'm curious if you can guess this company bc I can confirm they made the MOVE

I wanna get a few more people in here before I say much more, this post will very likely be removed so take that for what it means when it happens.

It must be too early at least in the USA for this so I'll return with my info when you guys start asking questions

Roli have an announcement on the 8th Oct, same date mentioned on Ableton's Move teaser.
I guess OP does not believe that unrelated things can happen on the same day.

Ahh so you def nailed it. Yes, LUMI and Roli became one company so LUMI keys are now officially Roli. As you know they have "discontinued" the roli blocks as they saved the company from the previous owners who committed fraud. So yeah sure you can SAY it's a coincidence but that isn't where it stops.

On top of this Roli has a new logo and it's the black keys of a keyboard octave, yes, but it's also strikingly similar to Ableton. Now back up, remember the ad they put out with the MOVE announcement. We all know the lettering of MOVE looks 8-bit. It also looks like a block from Roli. Furthermore that entire sign on the ad is a clue to the hardware itself, they intentionally made it look like the blocks grids, just not square like the original blocks.

Yeah, you are probably right there. I thought they were trying to refer to Moog being bought by InMusic, but the descriptions match Roli better. I'm still hoping that OP goes all in on this, for the chuckles.

And finally...Roli released their video of upcoming surprises for OCT and I posted a reply on their YouTube saying "Ableton MOVE////////////"

Which is now the highlighted comment for that video with a reply from Roli

OP is a genius

When you comment on a YT video, that becomes the highlighted comment for you, nobody else is seeing your comment as highlighted. Also, Roli seem to have a bot replying to everyone on their teaser video.

But hey, time will tell, eh! Lets all see what these companies release on that date. Personally I'm placing a large bet that the two products are unrelated, totally different and unconnected. But it's fun to have theories, that is after all why these corporations do teaser campaigns - to get people guessing.
