Sustain pedal affects Push 3, but not notes send from MIDI keyboard

I’m pretty new to Ableton and the Push, so you may very well assume that I am making a dumb mistake and point that out to me… In my current setup, I have an ancient Roland D-10 acting as a keyboard, connected to the Push via MIDI. Both the Push 3 and the keyboard control the Grand Piano instrument on a single MIDI track. I also have a sustain pedal that I connected to both the Push 3 and the D-10 with the same effect: The sustain pedal works for notes sent by the Push 3, but does not affect notes sent by the D-10. Funnily enough, if I connect the pedal to the D-10 it behaves the same way, even though the headphones plugged into the D-10 show that the D-10 itself processes the pedal, i.e., it sustains the notes correctly. Ideally, I’d like the pedal to affect both devices in Ableton, or at least I’d like to be able to select which device receives the sustain pedal input – right now I cannot use the sustain pedal for the D-10 with Ableton. Any input appreciated.
