[Feature request] - Push's grid layout for scales

Post by sideeyemusic » Fri Oct 18, 2024 11:56 pm

I really loved how on Push when you use a basic scale doing triads is a small triangle with your fingers.

I get why they did the scale layout for Move, since you get four octaves to look at, but even a basic triad is now a huge stretch for small hands and really not very accessible. 7th chords are also the entire length of the device too. This is a long shot but it would be cool if you could on the fly switch out how the pads are mapped to how Push's work!

I totally agree and I whish they will add this soon!

I can imagine that a lot of the Push (and oterh boxes like lanchpad) users are very much used to the '3 finger layout' and will have a hard time relearning. Which I find unnessecary, because I suspect this will be an easy implementation for the Ableton dev folks!

I’ve just received my Move, and this is the first thing I’m missing. I’ve been using Push for years, and I can’t do the usual things I do with the pads, it’s a little frustrating. I hope it gets fixed soon.
