Regarding MME Setup and Monitoring Options
I'm writing back again to seek advice regarding my audio setup in Ableton Live, where I am currently using a **Focusrite** audio interface along with a **YAMAHA mixer** in an MME configuration.
I want to achieve a setup where both devices operate on separate channels. To address latency issues, I have switched to using the **ASIO driver**, which has significantly improved performance.
Here are the details of my current setup:
- **Audio Device**: Set to **Focusrite USB ASIO**.
- **Focusrite Monitor Output**: The auxiliary output goes into my **YAMAHA MG10XU** mixer.
I have a specific question regarding monitoring: Is it better to monitor my Ableton project through my Focusrite into my master output mixer console using an auxiliary connection? My goal is to minimize any delay in sound reception. I am considering whether hearing my Ableton output through a cable input on the mixer (rather than a digital input) would provide a more responsive experience.
I appreciate any insights you can provide.
Best regards,
Theo
