[Feature Request] : Tap Tempo

I could not find this in the manual. Please correct me, if I missed the instructions.

If its not a feature, please consider adding tap tempo. Not all samples are one shots and I want to set the correct tempo. The file name does not scroll so the BPM is not visible in the file name. Thank you.

Agreed, would love tap tempo -- my current workaround is setting tempo by tapping a pad in a drum kit for a few phrases, and hitting capture midi to approximate tap tempo. It tends to double my desired tempo so I have to halve it by setting it in the tempo menu -- you can access it by holding shift (triple dots) and pressing the 5th step on the step sequencer.

A quick idea for tap tempo implementation could be just holding shift and hitting the tempo button until you hit the desired tempo.

I just wanted to voice my support for this request. Also, as mentioned, file names do not scroll, making it impossible to read the bpm. Scrolling filenames would be another very helpful feature.

Hi, it would be great for the purpose of hybrid sets to be able to tap tempo somehow instead of having to clock in a bpm value. it would make a huge difference to my sets! Thanks

So, I figured it out. You just tap any pad a couple of times and then capture -> tempo set…

That's different, but that's an ok workaround in some situations.
Anyone here feeling like a tap tempo would help?

I was trying to do this as well and managed to find the solution in the manual.
Section 10.1 Tempo
Note that if you capture a clip while the transport is stopped, the tempo will automatically be set based on the tempo of your playing.
tansport stopped: just make sure the play button isn't lit up

I didn't test it in a set that already had notes programmed but on an empty set. Surely if you want to change an existing set tempo to a new one that you tap out you can just tap it out in a new set.

Hope this helps anyone that finds it in the future. :D
