New to Ableton....need some help.

Is there any way of recording Rebirth automation with just the "Render to disk" feature.

I can most def. trigger sequences and filter changes via Midi yoke, and have it route back via rewire. And of course it will record the automation using the "re-sample" feature or arming the track.....

but, unfortunatley, I am cursed with a rather old computer...and using thease methods tends to produce a few annoying glitches here and there.

If "render to disk" should do the trick and something is wrong with my copy could anyone please let me know.

Any help, most appreciated

Actually..figured it out....

since I can see a bunch have read this....do the following

-Setup Rebirth to accept midi from Midi yoke or Hubi's...witch ever one you have.

-Choose "select patterns from Keyboard" in the options menu

-Setup Midi clips in Live with the midi notes to select which patterns, fx triggers, and envelopes to control Rebirths knobs.

-Route your audio into Live as needed

-Switch rebirth into "Song Mode". Initialize the song from pattren mode and press Rebirth's record button

-Trigger Clips in live as needed and stop all audio when done (HINT Follow groups are a lot of fun doing this with Rebirth)

-Press stop on Rebirth to put song position at bar one

-Render to disk in Ableton

All automation and changes will render...simply switch outa song mode in Rebirth to work on other sequences.
