Live+Digitakt2 only 15 tracks input „Restriction-Issue“

Hi everyone.

So i installed Overbridge and wanted to record some of the projects in my Digitakt 2 to Ableton.

I then could only record 15 channels and after a little search i learned that it is an Ableton issue cause it can only
accept 16 channels from a vst?
Why is that? Do you think this will change in the near future?

Any Infos on this? The limitation is really annoying with Overbridge.
