Hey guys,
I use certain instruments (like some Kontakt libraries) that naturally introduce a delay due to their engine. To compensate for this, I manually set a negative delay in the track’s options so the MIDI clips play earlier than usual, which works great during playback.
The problem is, I can’t find a way to save this negative delay setting when I save the track.
I tried the following:
Saving the Track in a Template: I created a custom project template with the tracks and their negative delays saved. Ok this works for starting new projects, it’s not ideal because I don’t want to open a whole new project or template just to grab one track.
Dragging Tracks from Saved Templates: I tried saving my template, then dragging individual tracks (with their negative delay) from the template’s side panel into my current session. Unfortunately, even though the individual tracks loads, the negative delay does not load with it, which makes this method pointless.
do you guys have a solution to save and import tracks with their negative delay settings intact without having to Open a whole Custom template just for one specific track. Is this even possible in Ableton Live? If not, any workarounds m4l device or anything that makes this possible?
Thanks
