Samples as modulators

Hi, there is a way to use an audio sample, let's say that occours once in a while, as a modulator?
For example some audio samples, scattered along the timeline in an audio track, which when played modify a synth pattern in a midi track, or the parameters of the synth itself? As they could trig (or modulate) events in a midi track?
Thank you

You could use an envelope follower on the audio track to do that. I’m not sure if it’s available in all versions of live/ which version you’re on but there should be one in the modulators section of the browser. There’s also a few lfos on maxforlive.com that can take samples.

Thanks for your reply, i have the last version of suite 11, as suite 12 requires a newest mac os.
And yes, I have cv envelope follower and envelope follower from M4L audio effects.. and an envelope follower in "modulators" in audio effects. Thank you!
