Please help me if you can

Im a complete newbie - I have Ableton Live lite and a Minilab 3. I was so impressed with people doing live loops on youtube and I really wanted to try it. I just cant figure it out. I think the software must be configured corectly for my minilab 3 to work properly? Some say the live lite version doesnt support live looping? Pease can anyone help me or point me in the right direction? Thankyou so much
