When I drag an instrument into my session and the cursor just happens to pass over an audio track, I get an orange message at the bottom of the Live window "Only audio effects can be inserted into an audio track".

The message doesn't go away until I close my Live set. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Sorry if it's already been discussed somewhere.

Instruments require midi input. Those get dragged into midi or instruments tracks.

Audio tracks are anticipating having audio clips on those tracks. Audio clips don’t really make sense in conjunction with instruments (generally speaking)

So I would try dragging an instrument into a different type of track.
