Kapture, Iftah Variations OR other snapshot save/recall solution

hi there,

once again I'm checking Live to see what it offers in terms of taking and recalling snapshots of the routing/state situation.

This is what apparently was offered by the discontinued Kapture https://youtu.be/sfpFoS4jTtI?si=E3AzTS5-DCjoUrJl and possibly by Iftah's Variations within his performance pack.

There's no way to test Iftah's pack without buying the highest Live license, which makes small sense for me as I'd be using Live just as an environment to process incoming live audio.
I would be available to face such expense if I was sure the Variation part of it is performing well but have no close friends to check it by myself, so I'm checking this with you: Is there any other EASY solution to recall different settings (audio routing and mixer values alongside plugins' state and presets) within the same live set?

You should be able to test iftah vatiations devices..

yes, thank you, didn't know I could use a 30 days trial with Live Suite so I've downloaded it.

Regarding external plugins it looks like it's able to save their settings but not preset names. This is not essential but quite confusing as it replicates the first name which is saved with the first variation, not allowing taking clear reference of what preset you're are on.

Also, I was also not able to find how to recall Variations via midi.

You can map variation selector and launcher via the floating window of the device. Those buttons doesnt appear in the normal view of the device

Plugins Presets are rarely exposed to the Live API so the best you'll manage is by configuring up to 128 of the VST's parameters to macros.

If that's sufficient then ClyphX Pro has it's snap feature which as a Control Surface runs on the high priority thread so recalls are executed under 25ms
