Why is Capture & Insert Scene changing clip start point?

I don’t understand the logic when using the Capture and Insert Scene-command in Live 12 (and maybe other versions of Live, too?).
Let’s say I have an original clip where Start is set to 1.1.1.
I then play back the clip, and press Capture and Insert Scene.
When playing back the duplicate clip, suddenly the Start point has been set to something completely different - in the included example it is set to 8.4.1.
Is this a bug? A feature?
Because this basically means that if the clip contains a MIDI note trigger, the note won’t play in the duplicate clip, because the start point is no longer at the start of the clip …
