Hey guys,

check out http://www.thinkfree.com register and use their online service. This thing is frekking amazing and makes Office pretty much redundant.... except for Access.

these guys are talking about the online version - it's a java-applet that means you don't have the prog installed as such, it's run off the webbyweb.

Openoffice can be used without the installer too. Actually you have to install it once but after you have deleted it you can copy/paste the folder. So once, someone has done this for you, you are all set. Burn it on a stick or so (usb) and tada. (http://www.portablefreeware.com/?c=16&sc=96)

More portable software...

I removed Office and installed Apple Works.

So fast, easy and streamlined and does 99% of what Office did for me. Database, mail merge, spreadsheet, etc... it's all there and cost a fraction of Office.

And the documents are Office compatible, too.
