Ableton Live Suite 12 not recording Input but signal is shown

I'm at the brink of loosing my sanity. I can't get Ableton to record my channels from my mixing desk.
I've routed everything correct and the signal meter shows that all inputs are present (36 Channels), i've armed recording etc but Ableton does't want to record the audio.
If i use Reaper for example it instantly records the signal and everything works as it should but not in Ableton

My Signal Chain is as follows:
Midas Pro1 -> Klark DN9650 -> Digigrid MGB -> Waves Soundgrid -> DAW. Host PC is a Mac Mini M2

As i already stated Reaper records everything perfectly so it's not the Signal Chain. It's Ableton itself. Does anybody have an idea what the problem could be?

cheers
M

the signal meter shows that all inputs are present
What signal meter? Where. inside Live?

the input signal meter of every input channel there is.
Audio is going into the daw but it won't record. it's armed if that's going to be the next question.
as i said. reaper recording no problem at all. ableton recording no chance.

OK, first, there are MIDI Tracks and Audio Tracks in Live, MIDI Tracks don't record audio.

https://www.ableton.com/en/live-manual/ ... o-and-midi

Second, Live has 2 "Views", Session View and Arrangement View, hence it has TWO record buttons, one for each View, so maybe you are simply looking at one View while actually recording to the other.

Please don't get me wrong but i know how Ableton works and i do all the live session for my artists in ableton an shure do know the difference between Midi and Audio Tracks so there is no need for these beginner advices.

So let's please stick back to the original topic. There is audio stream coming in from waves soundgrid into the daw. As i said there is indication on each of the tracks i want to record. everything is armed and when i press record all tracks record no audio. it's just empty audio tracks. when i stop the recording i can select the "recorded tracks" but they simply contain no information
doesn't matter in which view.

I also get this problem of it showing the wave but not actually recording at random times. It fails, I try again and it works OK. Did we ever get a good answer to this problem?

Unfortunately no.
I haven't tried it with the last updates of Ableton though.
I gave up since nobody could help.

Maybe it works now. I have to try it once again.

cheers

Do you have any cloud software running? I have – very occasionally – encountered this when Dropbox was trying to sync the folder containing the project I was working on. Since then, I temporarily pause Dropbox when I'm recording.

Edit – Sorry: if I read correctly, you do get audio clips after recording, they're just empty. That sounds different from what I described.
