I'm wondering if it's possible to have something like "master" and "follower" macros in a Drum rack.
Setup:
- Drum rack grouped into an instrument rack
- Simpler loaded onto the pads.
- Map, say, the Attack and Decay to Macro 1 and 2, for all the Simplers
- Macro only affects Attack or Decay of the selected drum pad's Simpler, instead of every Simpler in the rack.
Sort of like you would have on a hardware drum machine like Digitakt.
Can it be done, with Max For Live, Clyphx Pro or otherwise?
Cheers,
Chris

Sounds possible, but in practice, awkward.
The obvious question would be (imo) : what happens to the simpler that you leave when you switch to another ? reset to the default value ? how do you define a default ?

Well in my mind, if I've adjusted the Attack for Kick to 51, and move to another pad; Kick's attack would remain at 51.chapelier fou wrote: ↑Fri Apr 11, 2025 12:07 pmSounds possible, but in practice, awkward.

If the pad I move to has Attack set to 0, the macro would then reflect that, and I can start tweaking the parameters for the selected pad.
