Live 12 & memory

Hi,
I just switched from Live 11 to Live 12, and I have a big problem.
setup : Macbook M1 16Go de Ram+Sonoma.

I've got an "user library" about 36Go and an Ableton Library 297Go.
Never had any problem with that on Live11.

There, Live12 seems to "load" the entire library into memory, because it saturates the computer's memory, to the point that I have a system prompt to "Force Quit Ableton".

Apparently, if the problem is the one I just mentioned, we cannot disable a preloading of libraries...??!
What I don't understand is that I have 16GB of RAM, and the Activity Monitor mentions 46GB for Live12 in the Memory section (since yesterday when I was prompted to "Force Quit", it was capped at 96GB....

Can someone enlighten me and help me?
Thanks.

Live should be only loading what is being used in the project into memory, that includes all the audio tracks, samples and plugins currently in use. It’s not trying to load the entire 300+ GB of your libraries all at once.

As far as the memory measurement in Live, if more than 16GB of RAM is required, the CPU will copy recently unused portions of the RAM to the system drive to open up space to load something else into the RAM. If there is a lot of swapping going on, the computer starts slowing down which may cause applications to hang or crash. Live may be showing the amount of actual RAM plus the amount of data being temporarily stored on the drive.

Hi,
The problem seems to be fixed.
By recreating the Ableton library : I reinstall the sound banks one by one, which seems to work.
I had previously assigned the same path as before, so it had a rather large bank. Incidentally, this allows me to sort things out! This had been causing Aleton Live to load for hours & hours...
