for as long as i can recall, when the 'current project' folder is open in the browser, the current project will intermittently freeze for 5-10 seconds.

i've just sort of accepted this as normal and so avoid opening the current proj in the browser, but i googled and couldn't find a single mention of this behavior so i'm wondering if others experience this/if it's normal.

my projects are often 1-200 tracks and i do keep a rich .als version history if that matters. i use an m1 max/64g ram/sequoia/ableton 12 (afaik this was also happening in 11/sonoma)

Hey! Maybe a little cleanup can work! I also had an issue with my usb drive. When plugged in the project folder keeps glitching but when disconnected it worked fine, so i switched that one out!
