at this point, i've been trying to ask this a couple of times, yet reddit filters keeps removing my posts... I love reddit so much.

any way, another effect I'm trying to figure out, is an effect used in songs like: "Holy Moly" by IVE (first verse), Go_A's "SHUM" (the entire song) etc.

the effect I'm talking about is being able to make a song be faster and faster, yet idk how they do it. is it possible to achieve it in ableton live 11 intro? is it a standard/suite thing? is it that easy or very hard? is it possible that reddit filters will not remove this post, cause' I'm starting to dislike reddit.

Is it just bpm change, or is it something like BPM transformation from one to another in a section.

any help would be helpful, thank you.

I just listen to Holy Moly and it is not so much an effect that is being applied, like reverb or saturation as the musicians are playing faster.

There is a lot to unpack here. The first thing to know is that MIDI and audio behave very differently when speeded up.

When you speed up audio, unless you do something to stop it from happening, the pitch goes up.

With midi instruments the pitch remains the same, you are simply playing more notes in a given unit of time.

Ideally you create your bed track with midi that has the speeding up and then assuming you want vocals you just sing along with the bed track.

If you want to introduce audio samples, you can try to use the Warp function set to Complex or Complex pro and use the warp tabs to "squeeze" the parts of the audio that are speeding up closer together. This can be a very detailed and focused task and sometimes you can't avoid weird digital artifacts.

Be patient, it is easy for musicians to play and change the tempo. This is not an easy thing to do digitally and get it to sound like musicians played it.
