hi folks,

I have difficulties to include all my vst-plug-ins in Live.

It works perfectly well with e.g. sine player or sugar bytes products but not with Kontakt, Surge XT and Halion Sonic.

Kontakt:
My previously downloaded and installed Kontakt-Instruments don't work.
It is said, I can repair or reinstall them, but if I try it is said to check my review my location preferences.
I don't know what to change there and how that could help.

Surge XT:
It works perfectly as a stand-alone programm but I don't have a dll-file and anyway I can't use it in Live.

Halion Sonic:
Same situation as with Surge XT.

Does anyone know how to fix that?

Thanks and regards,
Tüftel

Surge XT only comes in VST3 format, so it is a .vst3 file and not a .dll file.
https://surge-synthesizer.github.io/downloads/
If you run the installer, it will put the file in the correct location.
Make sure to enable the System VST3 folder in Live's settings.

The other plugins may also be outdated or need to be reinstalled.

What version of Live and Windows are you using?
