What happens to our MIDI clips once we use Bounce in place or Bounce to new track?

When I use the new bounce features, my MIDI clips get deleted in the process. Sometimes I need them again and there are times when I hadn't saved my set yet so they're not available in the browser. I looked in the File Manager and they don't seem to be cached anywhere. Is there any way to recall these after bouncing?

That's because you're using "Bounce In Place".
Use "Bounce to New Track" instead (cmd/ctrl+B); this will keep your original midi (but the midi clip(s) will be deactivated).

Ah okay, I see now that the clip is still there but deactivated and can be reactivated by clicking the square next to Clip in the bottom left, as seen in the picture below. My eyes never realized that the clip was still "there" in the Session View Clip Slot, nor did I know that a clip could be deactivated or reactivated using that button. So your response ended up teaching me multiple things lol. Thanks! Still, it would be nice to see clips cached in the User Library or somewhere in the project when bouncing in place. Maybe I'll suggest that to Ableton as a feature.
