Transferring projects to new computer - preserving patches etc..

Hi all,

I have had issues with a new desktop PC that I bought solely for music production. I've put up with it for a while but contacted the manufacturer who has agreed to take it back and issue a new desktop to the same spec.

The problem I have is that I have a lot of project files on the computer I'm sending back. I have them backed up and want to make sure I can open them and they work when I go through the process of installing Ableton on the new machine with the various plug ins etc.. A good part of my concern is that the new desktop will not be able to find the specific patches in serum, Pigments etc.. Especially since I've got some third party preset packs.

Am I going to be largely OK if I make sure all installation paths are in the same location in the new computer as they were in the old computer?

Any tips on how to manage this process greatly appreciated.

Yes. And that's definitely the best solution.
