What I'm trying to do: I'm playing with the new Drift on Note app and want to use the encoders on Move to control the dials in Note + use the pads on Move to play notes on Note.

What I did:
1. connected Move to iphone/ipad using USB-C cable (+ CCK lightning adapter)
2. set the Move to Control Live mode
3. set the Note Midi input for Ableton Move Live Port
4. mapped 8 Move encoders to dials Macro1..8 in Note

What works: I can play Note synth using the pads on Move
What doesn't: the encoders mostly don't work and when they do, they only work as on/off switch, e.g. setting the Attack only works in max/min positions.

I also tried to use the standalone mode with Ableton Move User Port as input, but there the encoders are not recognized at all (not even in mapping settings). The pads work.

I'm on Move 1.7.0 and I'm aware there is a possibility to tweak drift parameters on Move directly, but the visualization on Note would be helpful.

Any help please?

From Move's release notes :

"When Move is in Standalone Mode, other hardware with a USB Host port can now connect to Move via its USB-C port. This makes it possible for Move to exchange MIDI with, for example: a computer with Ableton Live or other DAWs, an iPad or iPhone with Ableton Note or other apps, Push 3 or other hardware with a MIDI capable USB-A port (USB-C can also work if it is specifically a USB Host port). Note that if you had previously connected Move to a macOS computer, you will need to manually remove Ableton Move as a MIDI device in the MIDI Studio of the macOS Audio MIDI-Setup application in order to make the new Standalone Port available. You might also have to reset your MIDI settings if you are using Move with Apple products."
