I have just purchased the plugin to use on Live and I'm not getting it to work as expected.
The 6 tracks on this VST supply midi on different channels. I have set up Kontakt 8 on a second track but all channels are recieved when o, nlt Channel 1 is set.
Any advice please.

Every DAW has one part of it where it does things in a weird way, with Live it's receiving MIDI from a VSTi, it can't differentiate by MIDI channel. So with Instacomposer you pretty much need to export the single MIDI track you generated in Instacomposer to Live to use it, or you end up with a mess. There are dozens of videos explaining this on youtube. There are third party plugins you can use to help, but in general it's one of the few shortcomings of Live.

No problem, I bought it before it was useful at all when you couldn't put your own ideas into it and have it "improvise" other parts, a pretty cool trick now in version 3. I guess for that purpose it's not too difficult to put say a melody line into it and have it come up with a bass line then drag that into a track with a bass in it etc. It's just a bit more difficult to get it to work with multiple musical instruments without a plugin like Unify that hosts VST/AUs and can route them internally etc. One at a time though isn't too bad drag and dropping to a track etc.
