MPE Control buggy

Hello, I recently started using MPE Control to help convert MPE to MIDI for some external gear and noticed a couple problematic things ...
1 -- When re-opening a project previously saved with the MPE Control setting "NotePB to PB" turned on, MPE Control behaves as though this setting is turned off, and I must uncheck the box to get the intended turned-on behavior back. But even then, my instrument rack starts acting funny. Separate chains in the rack will then both respond to the same PB messages where before they were behaving separately like intended.
Even weirder, I can't seem to get it back to behaving correctly without completely starting over and deleting the TRACK. Deleting MPE Control and reloading it doesn't fix the problem. Deleting the instrument rack doesn't fix it. I have to delete the TRACK.
Important point - a recorded clip with MPE data plays as expected, which is nice. But physically playing on an external device like Push 3 for instance is where it misbehaves. I'm playing the drum rack pictured below in the 16 Pitches layout (which I learned uses MPE PB messages). I'm working on cleanly converting 16 Pitches to work with external physical gear (Syntakt).
2 -- Secondly, when loading the MPE Control device, it sends a couple of CC messages - CC74 and CC123. On my particular gear, CC74 is associated with filter frequency. Thankfully CC123 is not associated with anything. So unfortunately right now, every time I open MPE Control, I have to dial back in my filter frequency settings on my external gear.
For this issue, I can utilize a MIDI Filter device to block CC messages just so I don't get my patches all messed up, but eventually I would like to do some CC automation, so this seems like something to fix as well.
