Playing only future clips from locator

Hi all,
Is it possible to ignore current / half played etc regions when playing from a locator?
I have a backing track session built in arrangement view with guitars, keys, click etc as individual tracks. I also have some quick “interlude clips” on another track that are designed to hide the silence between songs. Usually I have all of the songs clips aligned to begin together, which is where the locator is for each song, and I make sure the interlude clip is finished before that locator.
Now I’m trying to crossfade / fade out that interlude clip and fade in the keys or synth track, but if I need to launch that song rather than let the entire set run through (as designed) I am catching the end of the interlude clip when I press play.
Is there a way to ignore that half played interlude clip and only play clips on the right hand side of the locator?
