Does anyone else find it unnerving trying to set up a user library on push that's tailored for standalone usage?

My attempted workflow:

1) Be in Controller mode to configure/design presets using computer interface for later push standalone use - a) using computer is quicker, no question about it; b) this way you can test audio without running audio cables from push and keeping it in standalone the whole time
2) save preset to Ableton user library
3) drag the user preset to the Push user library

And then it's still not really very easy to get to... so, collections.
but it seems I'd have to go into standalone mode, tag the item with the collection in the push library (even though they use same colors, they don't seem synchronized, because I'm seeing the names are different btwn comp and push)

I have latest beta firmware/software as of 2/19/26

It might be built to do everything on push or on computer, but there's gotta be a way to have a hybrid designer workflow. Let's face it, Push is kind of slow for loading and browsing so why not streamline. That doesn't take away from how amazing it is as an on-the-go powerhouse. But I improvise with people and want to have things configured for minimal thinking and searching.

Btw, if it's not clear that this isn't just user error/stupidity on my part, look how complicated it is just to change the names of the push collections!!

These are indeed 2 independent Libraries and thus they're not synchronised.

Yeah I realize they're not synchronized. But do you agree with my workflow being the only way to do this? (If you don't work in standalone entirely).

Is this true:
1) I have to leave controller mode to tag anything on the push
2) There's no way to do batch tagging from the push
3) All the tagging and collection settings that you do in Ableton do not transfer, only the auto-tags. (That's ridiculous if so...if I make 40 kicks and want to call them a user tag, I'd have to do that inside of Push)
4) There's no way to change Push collection names unless you remove the SSD and start coding the SHH

4)yes you can, just like with most items in Push's Browser, once it's selected push the jogwheel to the right and that will pop up an option menu. Alternatively you can press the "..." button on the top right hand corner.

I think you're saying that one can change the collection assignments--that's true. but I'm saying that you can't change the collection *names* from inside push unless you go into ssh. [...] doesn't give you rename as an option, or rather it will rename the item that you're considering tagging, not the collection name

No, I'm saying that this is the way to rename a Collection's name from within Push.

Yep you're right, I must have been trying to rename it from the assignment window...

Still longing for a way to usew the computer for tagging and organizing. I know you can create folders in the computer, but adding tagging/collection assignment would be helpful

One thing that just kills me is why can't you hook up a qwerty keyboard to Push to name things? especially considering there a plenty of naming tasks you seemingly have to repeat in standalone? I'm still not sure how to transfer presets for various instruments and effects from the computer or if it's even possible? Besides transferring Sets I've made compatible with standalone I've found the whole process disjointed.

I get why there would be separate libraries, sort of, I think Lives instruments and FX should be universal, with maybe user intervention on third party and user created sample libraries for the Drum, Simpler and Sampler.
