Push 3 Standalone - Question to Folders and Files

Hi everyone, I guess I'm the new guy here! I have a question for Push 3 Standalone users. As a (current) non-Ableton user, I am absolutely thrilled with it—the best purchase I’ve made in a long time! There is just one thing giving me a headache, and I simply can't find anything about it online (or maybe I'm searching for the wrong terms).

When I create a set, a random name is generated upon saving, for example, "my temporary name". I can rename this to something like "my set". So far, so good. However, if I go into the "Projects" folder on the Push 3, it displays that same randomly generated name ("my temporary name"). But if I then switch to the "Backup" folder inside it, the name I renamed it to ("my set") appears. I find this very confusing! To me, it would make more sense if all files shared the same name.

On top of that, it seems impossible to delete the project folder directly on the Push 3 (I get a warning message stating that deletion is not possible). Via PC, I initially get an error message saying that deleting it that way isn't working either. After a few stubborn mouse clicks, it suddenly worked anyway. It feels a bit buggy...

Also, I'd love to hear your thoughts on this (I might eventually write to Ableton support about it as well): Do you also find it inconvenient that audio recordings on the Push 3 Standalone end up in the "Samples" folder?

For example, if I select a MIDI track using the ADD button and then navigate to the samples, a massive list appears where every entry starts with "Audio...", simply because I didn't name the audio tracks while jamming at the beginning.

I should add that I'm a complete beginner and still pretty green when it comes to Push 3 and Ableton world. Maybe this is just the standard way the Ableton DAW workflow is set up? Personally, it would make more sense to me if they were just audio tracks and everything went into one folder (e.g., Projects), giving the user the control to decide on the Push where files get saved.

What do you think? Or am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks !!!

Welcome to the Push SA worlwide crew!

Yep, renaming the Set doesn't automatically rename its parent Project folder name. That's annoying in many situations, but that's also not desirable in many other ones.
The most convenient way is to this from Live imho.
As for the backup Sets, they inherit the name the Set used when it was backed up (plus a time stamp), which makes sense. Same here, just renamed this from Live if needed.

Any audio recordings is saved into its Project folder. But as you can see it also appears in the Library, depending on which Library category you're browsing. Once again, it makes perfect sense once you know how the Live's Library is organized (which I'm way too lazy to explain now, but I encourage you to take 30mn to analyze, this is an unvaluable knowledge!).

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! The tips are really helpful—thanks for sharing them. Hopefully, we'll get a browser update soon that allows us to move files, as well as assign and edit tags, directly on the Push.

Imo that would just add clutter to Push's interface. Also these options would be tedious to manipulate from the unit while it's done very quickly and efficiently from the computer.
