Hey everyone,

I'm having a really frustrating issue with Ableton Live 12 suite and my Apogee Duet 3. After updating the Apogee firmware, Ableton stopped recording my guitar input properly.

using a Mac M1 16" 2021 with tahoe 26.4.1

Here's what's happening:
- The input meter on the audio track drops/stops after the first hit, like a noise gate is cutting the signal
- The recording sounds bitcrushed and choppy, just snippets
- In Apogee Control 2 the input signal looks perfectly clean and continuous
- Other recording apps (like Piezo) also record clean with no issues
- It's a dry audio track, no plugins or effects
- Already deleted Preferences.cfg and it didn't fix it
- Sample rate is 44.1kHz on both Ableton and the Duet, buffer size 128
- Mac is fully restarted after the firmware update

So the signal is clearly reaching the Mac fine, but Ableton is dropping it. Feels like Ableton isn't communicating properly with the Duet after the firmware update.

Has anyone experienced this or found a fix? Could this be a compatibility issue between Ableton 12 and the latest Apogee Duet 3 firmware

hey ! using a different interface (behringer) still the same problem. It really seems to lie within ableton/abelton and the mac...

Already disinstalled and reinstalled ableton, looked at permissions on the mac configuration..
can't figure this out :/

This is a different issue as it has nothing to do with an Apogee firmware upgrade... check this article and if that doesn't fix the issue it is best to contact Ableton support for this...
