so i was running Live 5 on 10.2.8 on my g4 450 dual plenty of ram with a digi 001. everything was great. then i decieded to upgrade to panther. i did so, and pro tools works, reason works, peak, kontakt, FM7 etc all work, the digi 001 was showing up etc. guess what wont open? Live. just bounces on my dock then stops. i trashed prefs, downloaded and ran verify permissions, tried running Live 4 again, tried installing 5 again off my disc image, even downloaded a demo! i havent wipped it clean of live and download from the abelton site again, but i will if i have to,,,any suggestions? thanks

Digi 001 CoreAudio driver version only goes up to running with 10.28. is what I've read when looking at the requirements for the Drivers and which units they work with. So that might be the problem. Check out the Digi support site. CoreAudio drivers.

no...theyve updated the drivers and PT for digi 001 in panther. all of my apps (audio) work fine....plus Live would at least open then give me some error message, but now it just bounces and closes. weird.

Oh, yeah what CoreAudio Driver are you using?

right now ive updated to 6.5.2 which runs w/ panther and digi 001

i was runninng 6.1.2 w/ jag. but all my apps still work but not live, i even trashed the whole thing and re downloaded.......

So OK. now I'm reading PT6.4le, CoreAudio 6.5.2, OSX 10.3.4 is the last certified for the Digi 001.

I’m running OSX10.28, CoreAudio 6.12, PT6.12le on a G4 1.4GOWC with 1.25 G Ram. Live 4, Reason 3.0, Ni Guitar Rig. on a Digi 001. I have Waves plugin's also which might be an issue according to the sticky post above.

Although I’m going to upgrade to a Fireface 800 real soon now. I think the Digi support for the 001 is gone now and I’m hoping that there’s not issues that are being left unresolved.

I too just bought Live 5 and Operator. When I try to open Live 5 it just quits after about 5 seconds of trying to open and says “Live has unexpectedly quit” message.

I’ve been having problems with Live 4 loading then the transport not working with 0 Cpu useage showing , then I reload it and it runs fine. Reason 3.0 not being able to quit and having to use force quit and then force quit Live. Something that’s slowly come on in the last month or so. I made a huge Itune library on my main system drive and maybe that’s the problem. I know the Propellerheads recommend Panther now for 3.03 the new upgrade.

I’ve tried the usual suggestions. Trash preferences. Repair disk permissions, try a new user administrative account.

I’m going to clean the drive up some and try Panther and the upgrades for Digi see if it does anything.

Thanks for the help, I know I’m not giving you anything good, but at least you're not alone.

yeah sounds famiiar...what i cant understand is why all my audio apps work? and usually for me Live would open and load and then not be able to recognize the digi001 as an in or out midi etc.
