Emagic 2/6 and Live (v4 or v5)

Hi,
On both of my XP machines when I use the Emagic 2/6 and live v4 or v5 while running some hefty Reaktor plugins, live will occasionaly glitch out (more often when in ext sync mode) and sllloowww down the audio processing so it's all stuttered and in half time, then kick back in when I turn off the reaktor plug.
I am thinking selling the Emagic and wanted to see if anyone has had this problem with their Usb sound card? It's unique to live and has been there as long as I have had this sound card.
